Yesterday, received a call from British Columbia. Caller said she was from Washington, said she knew Mia voted for Bush in last election and wanted to know if they could count on her support this year. Said yes. Today received a call from Washington asking if she was coming out to vote and who was she voting for. Mia wouldn't say. She thinks this is strange because her number is listed under her husband's name. She doesn't know how they got her name or number. |

Voting area has about ten booths but otherwise there's just rows of tables with chairs. Once caller registered and got a ballot, the judge pointed her to a chair where she had to very publically vote. Someone made a verbal comment about the caller's choice for president. She could not choose a booth; she was directed to a table. |

Other issues existed--exiting voters were promoting Bush; race of voter was a factor, he is black and judges are white. Voter had an out-of-state driver license and a valid utility bill. Voter believed it was an issue of racism. Judge would say they invited him to come back with his utility bill. |
