Caller received automated phone call with no identifying information as to the source, which inquired whether she had voted and when she responded in the affirmative it asked which candidate she voted for. She immediately hung up at that point. She felt uncomfortable about this call and thought it may be improper and that it may be someone trying to skew the results of the election. |

Caller is an ex-felon and believes his voting rights were restored in 2003. He registered to vote 2-3 months ago (approx July/Aug). About 2-3 weeks ago (approx Oct 15) he received a letter from the NV Election Board stating that his registration had been cancelled. He was told he needed to do the following steps to be able to vote: 1. Get discharge papers from the Board of Probation 2. Send the papers to Carson City 3. Wait for a letter from Carson City 4. Mail that letter to the Election Board. He was told this process would take about 3 weeks and he did not have enough time to do it and vote in this election. |

Caller's son registered to vote absentee in Nevada in July 2004, but lives in S. Carolina for college. He did not receive the ballot. They have been calling regularly for several months. Last time they called to find out about the absentee ballot was around Oct. 20. The person they last spoke to in Nevada told them that he should go to vote in the polls in S. Carolina with a provisional ballto, but they did not tell him that he needed to register in S. Carolina. They also called the Republican party and the Democratic party to try and get him an absentee ballot. He registered through a voter registration drive indicating that he wanted to vote absentee, but it looks like he was registered but not absentee -- he received voter information telling him his polling place. |
